tplinkrepeater.net Login Admin
To access the router admin page, simply enter tplinkrepeater.net into your web browser's address bar or click the link below. This will direct you to the login page of your router's control panel.
The IP address displayed here is typically the default address for your router’s admin interface. However, please ensure that you are connected to the same network as the router for this to work correctly. If you are using a different network or have made custom settings, the address may vary.
How to log in to tplinkrepeater.net
- Connect to the router. Join its Wi-Fi network or plug a computer into one of its LAN ports. Mobile data will not work.
- Open the admin page. Type
http://tplinkrepeater.netinto the browser’s address bar (not the search box) and press Enter. - Accept the certificate warning if one appears. Routers use self-signed certificates, so “Not secure” on this page is normal inside your own network.
- Enter the username and password. Look at the sticker on the bottom of the router first: many models print a unique password there.
- Change the default password in the administration or system section as soon as you are in.

What tplinkrepeater.net is
tplinkrepeater.net is the admin name of TP-Link range extenders (RE series). Routers use tplinkwifi.net; extenders use this one, so the two never clash on the same network.
Why the extender’s address changes
Out of the box, a TP-Link extender sits at 192.168.0.254 and broadcasts its own setup network. After you connect it to your router, it takes a new address from the router like any other device. The name tplinkrepeater.net hides that change: it reaches the extender whichever address it has, as long as your device is connected through the extender.
Setting it up
- Plug the extender in near the router and connect to its network (named like “TP-Link_Extender” on a new unit, or your network name ending in “_EXT” after setup).
- Open
http://tplinkrepeater.net. On a new extender, create the admin password; older models usedadmin/admin. - Choose your home Wi-Fi network and enter its password.
- Move the extender halfway between the router and the dead zone. The TP-Link Tether app can do the same steps on a phone.
Finding the right spot
An extender repeats only the signal it receives. Most TP-Link extenders have a signal LED: if it shows a weak signal, move the extender closer to the router; if the signal is strong right next to the router, it is too close to help the far rooms. Halfway between the router and the weak area, in the open rather than behind furniture, usually works best.
Forgotten passwords and reset
- Wi-Fi password of the extended network: it is normally the same as your router’s Wi-Fi password, because the extender copies it during setup.
- Login password of tplinkrepeater.net: it cannot be recovered. Reset the extender: with it switched on, press and hold the RESET button with a pin until the LEDs change, then set it up again.
Connected to the extender but no internet
The extender itself works, but its link to the router does not. Common causes: the router’s Wi-Fi password was changed after setup, the extender is too far away, or the router has a MAC filter. Open tplinkrepeater.net, check the status of the connection to the router, and rerun the setup if needed.
When tplinkrepeater.net does not open
- You are connected to the router, not the extender. Connect to the extender’s own network or plug into its LAN port.
- Use the IP instead. Find the extender in the router’s list of connected devices and open its address.
